About Adams Memorial Library
- More than 50% of the residents of Latrobe are registered Library patrons
- The Library serves 53,000 people in eight municipalities
- There are almost 100,000 items in the collection including
- DVDs & Blu-Rays, eBooks & eAudiobooks, books on audiotape, large-print books, magazines, newspapers, microfilm, and of course books
- Services including faxing, scanning to flashdrive, and 3-D printing
- Every year, we have between 1200 - 1500 children read over 15,000 hours over the nine-week period of our annual Palmer Summer Reading Program
- Every year people check out nearly 250,000 items
- Our Resource Center offers for checkout such varied items as
- globes, basketballs, parachutes, and dolls (used by everyone from teachers for classroom use to grandparents with visiting grandchildren)
- We participate in the Westmoreland Library Network and ACCESSPA
- We offer FREE programs that run the gamut from
- History seminars to book discussion groups to health and wellness events to flower arranging to tax help to financial investing
- The Library houses the Latrobe Bulletin on microfilm from 1902 - present
