Library Card
An AML library card allows you to do more than simply borrow books and other materials.
Do I need a library card to use the collections of Adams Memorial Library?
You will need a card only if you wish to borrow materials from our branches or use the online databases on this website from outside the Library. You do not need a card for onsite use of any of our 3 libraries.
How much does a library card cost?
All Westmoreland County residents may obtain a free library card by presenting valid identification showing name and current address.
A parent or legal guardian's signature is required for children between the ages of 5 and 14. Both parent and child must be present at time of registration.
How do I get a library card?
You must appear
in person at one of the library’s three branches to receive a library card. If you are under the age of 14, a parent or
legal guardian (sorry, we can’t allow
non-legal guardians such as babysitters, Grandma or Uncle Steve!) You must present a form of identification that has your current address on it (such as a valid driver’s license, a piece of mail with the
current address printed on it, a valid passport).
How can I get a nonresident library card?
Non-county residents must present a valid card from an ACCESS Pennsylvania library to receive a free card from AML.
What should I do if I lose my library card?
If you lose your card or have a change in address, please call the library as soon as possible. Replacement cards cost $3.00.
