Email reference
We will be glad to assist our internet patrons via email whenever possible. Please email your question(s) to us at askadams@adamslib.org. Some types of reference may not be able to be answered via email.
We will try to reply to you as quickly as possible. Please be aware that some email services may interpret our response as junk mail or spam, and you may need to check accordingly.
We cannot renew books via email at this time.
Telephone reference
You are welcome to ask brief reference questions over the phone. Depending on the nature of the question, we may be able to supply you with an answer immediately or we may need to call you back if the research will take a bit longer. Some types of reference may not be able to be answered over the phone.
You may call any branch at the following phone numbers, and if the staff at that branch is unable to help they will forward the matter to the appropriate staff member at another branch.
On-site reference
The library staff includes several degreed librarians who are trained in all methods of reference support. The librarians of the children's department are eager to offer homework help, though naturally we do not do a student's actual homework!
There is always at least one librarian available for reference help at the main branch. At the other branches, if a librarian is not on duty the staff will be glad to connect with the main branch on your behalf to obtain the reference help you might need.
